Space age paint on country club12/15/2023 The clubhouse here was designed by Clifford C. One of the most uniquely-designed clubhouses in the world, its design by architect Brian Johnson was inspired by the Arab dhows that used to sail in the waters beside the course. The Herman Holmgren-designed Baroque-style castle dates from the 19th century and was renovated to become one of the world’s most beautiful clubhouses. Home to two fabulous 18-hole courses designed by Robert Trent Jones Jnr, this golf club sits directly on Lake Mälaren and is crowned by Bro Hof Castle. Sunningdale Country Club, UKģ0 miles west of London, this is a quintessentially English Tudor-style peaceful haven away from the throbbing metropolis, at arguably England’s prettiest golf course on the Surrey/Berkshire sand-belt. At 140,000 square feet, it surpasses the huge 110,000-square-foot clubhouse at Olympia Fields. In Bethesda, Maryland, Congressional’s Spanish Colonial Revival-style clubhouse is the biggest in the United States. Dating back hundreds of years, the Bedouin hunters used falcons to help gather food. The dramatic Falcon clubhouse at this Peter Harradine-designed course pays homage to the United Arab Emirates’ national birds and the importance of falconry in Arab culture. Go grab a glass of wine with some Italians Oltrarno and I guarantee you'll have a much better time.We list the world’s most beautiful clubhouses, from Abu Dhabi’s Falcon and Wentworth’s historic castle to a space-age design originally intended to be the home of Marilyn Monroe. People could have died - it has happened before (Chicago 2003) and could happen again. I don't know why the bouncers were blocking the exit, but something makes me think it was so they could make sure to check our cards before we left so they could make their drink money. I am left with injuries, and a traumatic memory that may very well keep me from ever clubbing again. A guardrail broke and a huge number of people fell onto the bottom ramp - there were at least 20 people on top of me and I was convinced I was going to die, completely unable to move, until someone found my arms outstretched on the ground and was able to pull me out and we ran outside to safety. The panicked crowd kept pushing towards the doors, creating a massive stampede in which I got caught. I jumped down from the top balcony to move towards the emergency exits but there were bouncers BLOCKING the doors. Before Tyga even went on, someone released some kind of gas into the air that made everyone start coughing and having a difficult time breathing. From the beginning, it was clear that they had overbooked the venue - there wasn't enough room for people to move, on the ground floor or upstairs in the balconies. Last night, my friends and I went to Space to see a show Tyga was playing. Also a small little gem across the Arno was Faces, friendliest staff, hard to find but when it got going, look out. XO was also a more mixed club with more natives and better far more consistently fun atmosphere. If you want a nice more upscale place, try Angels on Via Ghiabellina, or for a dance club go one of the two in park (They both start with C and sound alike I think), it's farther walk but a great time, guaranteed. However usually it is a sad little excuse for a good time either too packed (wall to wall, mostly Americans) or empty (one sceevy older guy ogling any girl who happens to walk in). It has a nice upstairs dance floor that can get going. It's right near Santa Maria Novella (Train Station) so it's close to the historical center which is nice. As far as clubs go Space is a decent club. I studied in Florence for 4 months and had ample time to sample clubs and bars. I would recommend at least 3 other clubs over Space in a second. Are you serious? Space Electronica is not anywhere close to a 'must see' in Florence.
